The EFS-S640ZE embodies the spirit of craftsmanship inspired by the excitement of “making something from nothing” — the thrill of going from “0” to “1.” This solar powered EDIFICE chronograph features a black and gold color scheme that evokes the first flicker of light, that spark of innovative craftsmanship, where the creation of new value begins. The gold-color band loop, laser engraved with “50th ANNIVERSARY,” flickers on the black band like a light that breaks the darkness and illuminates the path to value innovation. As a special design touch, the inset dial at the 9 o’clock position is printed with 0’s and 1’s, capturing the Casio devotion to the art of making something from nothing. Based on the solar powered SOSPENSIOE EFS-S640, the watchcase in carbon fiber-reinforced resin features a unique design inspired by a formula car suspension with lugs configured in a four-arm arrangement. Together with the carbon fiber dial, this timepiece exudes a true motorsport feel. The band is made of Alcantara, a highly durable and breathable material used in the interior of sports cars. With its international certification for carbon neutrality, the fabric is also expected to help reduce environmental impact.
